Railway travellers can use a convenient connection by travelling to Portsmouth Harbour Station, where the passenger ferry connects to Ryde Pier, IOW (approx. 12 min crossing). From Ryde pier head the IOW rail offers a direct connection to Sandown station which is in easy walking distance to Sandhill Hotel.
